Our faculty Ar. Lakshmi S. was invited to speak at the Cumulus 2024 Conference in Budapest, Hungary. She delivered a presentation titled “Transcending Boundaries - Design Education For Social Innovation” with Prof. Ritu Sonalika, Associate Dean, Shristi Manipal University.

She also co-presented a joint paper titled “Radical Inclusive Attitudes: The Challenge of Doing, Undoing, and Redoing the World-in-the-Making” co-authored with Dr. Daniele Busciantella Ricci, University of Florence, Italy, Dr. Luis Soares, Edinburgh College of Art, UK, Dr. Mike de Kreek, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, and Dr. Anne H. Berry, Director, School of Design at the University of Illinois, Chicago. It was a significant endeavour that allowed for the exchange of ideas globally about design and society and discussion of design pedagogy rooted in the Indian context.
